Ridgemont Starting School Year with Remote Learning

Written by on August 7, 2020

Ridgemont Local School officials have made the decision to begin the school year with remote learning for all students.

According to a release, the decision was made after considering health and safety as well as operational issues, and based on the recommendation from the Kenton-Hardin Health Department.

The remote instructional model will begin on August 21st and continue through September 4th.

Officials stated that this is not how they wanted to start the school year, because they feel that in-classroom, face to face instruction is best for most students academically, socially, and emotionally.

They hope to return to face-to-face instruction as soon as possible.

They will continue to meet with the Hardin County Health Department and county district leaders on a regular basis and evaluate the situation.

Principals will be sending information to families during the next two weeks about the remote learning process for the start of the school.
