A new Treasurer was hired by the Ridgemont School District.

It was announced at a special meeting Wednesday evening that Melissa Pollom was hired by the Board of Education.

She was given a three year contract to manage the district’s finances beginning April 8.

Pollom spent the past ten years as Assistant to the Treasurer at Tolles Career and Technical Center.

The Board thanked K-12 Business Consulting for assisting with the treasurer search.

Pollom will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Fred Reinemeyer.

Also at the special meeting, the Board accepted the highest bid of $36,000 from Shane Newland on the school owned property located in the 17,000 block of County Road 209.

The property was given to the district by the Charles Winebrenner Estate.
