Miriam Gutierrez and Emma Schoenberger won a JV doubles match by a score of 8-4.
Coach Aaron Frazee said, "Very good first win for us as we had nobody playing in the same position that they played last year and several girls playing their first varsity matches. It was a good win for both of the Smalley sisters. Jodi had never played someone of the caliber of Maggie Dennis and she really answered the call. Mara also played very well in getting her first ever singles win. River Valley is pretty strong at the top of their lineup so to get a 3-2 victory over them is a good win for us. At 2nd Doubles, Mady and Lyndsey had never played together before and their styles of play really seemed to compliment one another."
Upper Sandusky is home Monday against Kenton (starts at 1:00, which is a change from the schedules that were sent out).
