Opening Day Numbers Improve for 2019 Hardin County Fair

Written by on September 4, 2019

Beautiful weather made a difference for attendance on opening day of the Hardin County Fair Tuesday.

The paid gate yesterday was 1328, compared to 1243 on a very hot opening day in 2018.

Total estimated attendance was 7436, that was up from last year’s 6961.

The Crowning of the Junior Fair King and Queen and Band Show yesterday attracted 805 people to the Grandstand yesterday. That was down from 2018’s figure of 879.

The Junior Fair Queen is Kelsey Stanfield from Ridgemont, and the Junior Fair King is Garrett Thomas from Kenton.

KOI Drag racing is featured in the Grandstand at 7 this evening. Admission to that event is free. Pit passes are being sold for $10.

The 2019 Hardin County Fair runs through Sunday.
