Ohio Attorney General’s Office Awards Grants for Purchase of Body Armor

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced that more than 300 local law enforcement agencies across the state are now participating in the Ohio Law Enforcement Body Armor Program.

The program, administered by the attorney general’s office since August 2018, is funded by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and awards grants totaling up to $40,000 to each agency.

The Forest Police Department received a grant for $4800.

.Bath Township Police Department (Allen County)- $6000

.Richwood Police Department- $7172

.Waynesfield Police Department- $1175

.Bluffton Police Department- $9808

.Russells Point Police Department- $10,205

.Carey Police Department- $17,173

.Marion County Sheriff’s Office- $3596

.Logan County Sheriff’s Office- $5715

.Allen County Sheriff’s Office- $10,733
