of Belle Center

A visitation for Wayne A. Cavin will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. A Rosary Service as well as a Firefighters Bell Service will follow visitation starting at 7:00 P.M. 

He died on Friday, October 11, 2019 at The Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on August 18, 1950 in Kenton to Helen (Lease) Cavin and the late Vincent Cavin. In July of 1969, he married Debra Young and they later divorced.

Surviving are a daughter; Teresa Luhta of Zanesfield, 2 sons; Philip Cavin of Versailles, Chris (Teri) Cavin of Alger, a sister; Judy (Urgelle) Roberts of Sidney, 2 brothers; Bryan (Joanne) Cavin of Rosewood, OH, Jim (Alice) Cavin of  Roanoke, Virginia, 6 grandchildren; Alexandria Luhta, Jordan (Rachel) Cavin, Dylan Luhta, Kaitlyn Guinazzo, Derek Cavin, Sara Cavin, 3 great-grandchildren; Iris and Abel Cavin, Leon Guinazzo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne worked as a firefighter for many years.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton as well as the Kenton Moose.

Wayne enjoyed working with his hands, whether it be wood working or just tinkering around the garage. 

He loved his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them whenever he could.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Kenton Fire Department Benefit Fund or the Kenton Moose Lodge.
