Robert E. Salsbury age 90 of Dunkirk

Funeral services for Robert E. Salsbury will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial with military rites performed by Amvets Post 1994 will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.

Robert died on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at his residence. He was born on December 30th, 1928 in Defiance, Ohio to the late Donald and Violet (Smith) Salsbury. On October 20th, he married Mary Lou Manns and she survives in Dunkirk.

Also surviving are 5 daughters; Sandy Salsbury of Findlay, Rita Salsbury of Oregon, Devona Salsbury of Oregon, Crystal (Dennis) Titus of Kenton, Vonda (Tony) Perkins of Kenton, 6 sons; Mitch (Rhonda) Manns of Kenton, Mike (Tammy) Manns of Kenton, Ron (Lisa) Manns of Kenton, Tony (Rhonda) Manns Jr of Kenton, James Salsbury of Oregon, Rusty Salsbury of Oregon and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Neva and Jolene Salsbury, 4 sisters; Ilene Miller, Annabelle McCleese, Molly Amstutz, Marie Bradley, and 3 brothers; Dwayne, Bud, and Joe Salsbury.

Robert was a proud Army Veteran.

He was a member of the Kenton Moose and Eagles, as well as the Ada VFW Post 9381.

Robert loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping and mowing. He enjoyed mowing so much that he would mow the neighbors yards as well as  help mow the local park.

Robert’s wife was the joy of his life and wanted to spend every minute he could with her and the rest of his family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bridge home Health and Hospice.
