A private burial for Robert “Bob” Jones will take place at Grove Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with services.

He died on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the Bluebird Retirement Community in Marysville. He was born on December 26, 1933 in Clawson, Michigan to the late Robert and Wanda (Gerlach) Jones. On September 3, 1955 he married Arvilla Hankins and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2014.

Surviving are a daughter; Jill (Howard) Sayre of Marysville, a son; Michael Jones of Pandora, 2 sisters; Sandra Lee Ludwig of St. Helen, MI, Joyce Rumer of Belle Center, 2 grandchildren; Tiffany Jones of Lima, Lindsay Jones of Lima, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Charles Jones, Bill Jones, Marvin Jones, 5 sisters; Peggy Ryan, Louis Hougendobler, Patricia Holis, Rose Peters, and Jean Gibson.

Bob was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Bob was a collector who enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets. He collected, M&M memorabilia, coins, knives, belt buckles and other various antiques. He also enjoyed woodworking.

Bob had a giving heart and would always donate too the local food, toys and clothes drives, especially around Christmas, which was his favorite holiday.

Memorial donations may be given to a local food bank/clothes bank of the donors choice.
