Obituary for Nicholas G. Kost

Nicholas G. Kost age 81 of Upper Sandusky. died Wed. August 28, 2019 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 27, 1937 in Cleveland to the late George and Mary (Wilk) Kost. He married Marcy L. (Kapustik) Kost in 1978 and she died in 2002.
He is survived by his children Jeff (Tiffany) Kost, Upper Sandusky, Amy Kost, Cleveland, Nick Kost, Tiffin, Tom (Brittany) Kost, Upper Sandusky, Nicholas (Lynn) Kost, Albuquerque, NM, Bonnie Franchuk, Cleveland, Emily (Andy) Murphy, Calais, Maine, 10 grandchildren, 3 brothers Mike Kost, Cleveland, Frank Kost, Cleveland, Jimmy Kost, Cleveland, and a sister Patty Fauster, MI. He was preceded in death by his children, Scott, Johnny, Lori, and David Kost, and a sister Maureen “Moe” Gibson.
Nickolas graduated from the former West Tech. High School in Cleveland, OH. He received his two year degree from Cleveland Institute of Art. Mr. Kost was a US Navy Veteran. He was a restaurant manager for Ike’s in Upper Sandusky, Carey, and Bellfontaine. He enjoyed fishing in the local reservoir, Harrison Smith Park Pond, and other bodies of water, painting landscapes with oil and water colors, and spending time with his grandchildren. He always made people laugh and smile.
