Mabel V. Henkle, 88 of Roundhead passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
She was born on August 18, 1930 in Royalton, KY to the late John and Dove Hale. On March 23, 1947 she married James K. Henkle and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2010. Mabel is survived by her three sons; David , Dan and Dennis Henkle all of Roundhead, one daughter, Jayma Davis of Kenton, 9 grandchildren; Jeffery Davis, Mary Margaret Metzger, Julie Burns, Matthew Henkle, Kristin Colley, Jennifer High, Rachel Miller, Seneca Henkle and Seth Henkle. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; Audrey, Quinten, Madelyn, Gabriel, Nathan, Lilly, Abby, Kiser, Alana, Cora, Ruby, Reed, James, Joseph and one sister-in-law, Pricilla Hale. Mabel was preceded in death by her son, Donald Henkle, 4 brothers; Luther, John, AJ and Franklin Hale and 3 sisters; Dorothy Berger, Myrtle Howard and Madeline Martin. She was a cook at the Roundhead Elementary School for 23 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor David Schneer officiating. Burial will follow in Roundhead Cemetery.
