Obituary For Lowell L. Rossman

Lowell L. Rossman, age 82, of rural Jenera, died at 10:40pm on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. Lowell was born on November 28, 1937, to the late Raymond and Velma (Redick) Rossman and was baptized on January 2, 1938, with his confirmation verse, Hebrews 13:5, “Be content with such things as ye have; for he hath said, ‘I will never leave thee or forsake thee.'” Lowell and Joyce Elaine Dahl were married, on January 28, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera, Ohio by the Reverend Bradke. His wife Joyce survives, along with a son, Todd (Susan) Rossman of rural Jenera; and a daughter, Natalie J. (Bryan) Miller, also of rural Jenera. Lowell has five grandchildren: Kayla Ketterer, Kyle Rossman, Hannah Miller, Clay Miller, and Riley Miller. He also has a brother, Louis (Bonnie) Rossman of Sioux City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Schaller. Lowell was a 1955 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School and earned his Bachelors Degree in 1961, from Findlay College. He was a teacher and coach at Bellevue and Cory-Rawson High Schools. In 1977, he began farming full time and continued farming to the present time. He served as the Van Buren Township Fiscal Officer from 1988, until the present. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jenera, where he served as an Elder, Trustee and a member of the School Board. He enjoyed fishing and loved to travel and spend time with his family. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 4:00-8:00pm at CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jenera, with additional visitation for one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00am. Pastor Alois Schmitzer III and Pastor Matt Nowak will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.
