Obituary for Lester S. Clark

Lester S. Clark, 93 of Kenton passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019.  He was born in West Mansfield, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Clara (Lynch) Clark.

On March 20, 1949 Lester married Gloria Brown and she survives.  He is also survived by four children; Terri Holloway, Michael (Terri) Clark both of Kenton, Andrea (Dwaymon-Deceased) Warren and Leslie Moore both of Cincinnati.  Lester is also survived by five grandchildren: Shane Holloway, Monica Clark, Amy Clark, Dominic (Heather) Underwood, Katie Anderson, one great granddaughter, Madison Cardenas Clark, two brothers; Neil and Roscelle Clark and a sister, Betty Rogan all of Bellefontaine.

He was preceded in death by brothers; Warren, Lewis and Richard Clark, sisters; Vyrtle Boyd, Mary Cane and Barbara George.  He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.  Lester retired from Rockwell after many years of

service.   He was a member of Payne Chapel AME Church where he was active

in videoing church services and events.  Mr. Clark was also an avid gardener and was know for many years for his outdoor Christmas light display.  Visitation for Lester will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home, Kenton.  A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at St. John’s Evangelical Church with Pastor Vanessa Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by the Kenton Amvets Post 1994.  Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Lester to the Payne Chapel AME Church, 437 N.
