Funeral Services for Kenneth Savage will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at The Price – McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor J-Mac Geissinger officiating. Burial will follow in Wolfcreek Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 1 hr prior to the funeral at the funeral home on Wednesday.

He died Friday, June 21, 2019 at Morrow Manor in Chesterville, Ohio. He was born on January 22, 1947 in Columbus to the late George Sr and Luemma Dae Savage. On April 3, 1995 he married Sharon E. Coy and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are 1 daughter; Vicki Gillenwater of Bidwell, Ohio, 1 step daughter; Bobbi Meadows of Bellefonatine, 2 sons; Stacy A. Savage of Columbus and Kelly Savage of Columbus. 1 sister; Margaret Obert of Fredricktown, 1 sister-in-law; Frances Savage of Columbus. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Tracy Pauline and Patricia Messer. 1 step-daughter; Kathy James, 2 brothers; George Savage Jr and Ralph Savage, 2 sisters; Beverly Wolaver and Donna Savage.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 413 Columbus Ohio and Local 957 Dayton Ohio for 36 years, where he served as a Union Steward for 17 years.

He was a lifetime member of The American Legion – Columbus, Ohio: Post 144. He was a Honor Guard for several years. Was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 2163 in Kenton for over 20 years. Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 428 and 1533 for over 20 years.

He was a member of The Mt.Victory United Methodist Church and The Washington Ave United Methodist Church over most his life.

After his retirement he served the village of Mt,Victory as Street Commissioner for 6 years.

He will be laid to rest beside his loving wife of 19 years.

Memorial donations may be made to Hardin Co. Sheriffs Shop with a cop program.
