Obituary for John Lee Ferrell

John Lee Ferrell, age 77 of La Rue passed away at his residence on Monday, April 8, 2019. He was born in Kenton on March 23, 1942. He married Patricia Emberling on September 8, 1973 and she survives. Also surviving are four children, Vickie (David) Winters; Rodney B. Ferrell; Cindy Ferrell and Jawna Ferrell; 11 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jeanette (Ernest) Manns; Eloise Martindale and Mary Lou
(Bob) Salisbury. He was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lee Ferrell; a grandson, Michael Ferrell; father, John Jay Ferrell; mother and step-father, Susie (Yazell) and Slick Myers; brother Albert Ferrell and a sister, Barbara Ferrell. John retired in 1998 from the City of Kenton as the Superintendent of the Street Crew. He was a member of the OFTA, the Kenton Moose, Eagles and the Coon Hunters Club. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Norman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home.
