Per Calvin’s request, there will be no services and he will be cremated. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
He died on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at his residence. He was born on June 15, 1940 in Kenton to the late George and Maxine (Gilbert) LaWarre. On May 7, 1966 he married Darlene Remines and she preceded him in death on June 11, 2008.
Surviving are 5 children; Christina Van Auken of Cincinnati, Michael (Patty) LaWarre of Roundhead, Nathan (Rita) Thatcher of Lakeview, Calvin LaWarre of St. Mary’s, Joe (Anna) LaWarre of Kenton, 2 sisters; Shelva Jean Joseph of Kenton, Margaret Gossard of Kenton, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son; Jonathan LaWarre and a brother; Jack LaWarre.
Calvin worked at Tecumseh Products.
He was an avid train collector and hobbyist.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice.
