Dear Kenton City Schools Community,

I am writing to inform you that an employee who works at Kenton Elementary School and two
contracted service providers with minimal staff and student contact have tested positive for
COVID-19. Due to privacy laws, we cannot disclose further information about these people.
Whenever a person has a confirmed COVID-19 case, they must self-quarantine per local health
department guidelines, and may not return to school until they meet CDC criteria and receive a
letter from the local health department. We have sanitized classrooms and any affected common
areas in the building.

Please be assured we are working closely with the Kenton Hardin Health Department to
guide our response to this situation. At this time, we have notified everyone in the impacted
class/classes who may have had direct contact with the people who tested positive. If you were
not contacted, it is because
we have no reason to believe you or your childhad exposure to
these people while in our building. We are sharing this with our school community so you are
aware of this information and our procedures.

We encourage you to contact a health care provider if you are concerned you may have
COVID-19 symptoms. If you have other medical questions, please call your healthcare provider.

For more information about COVID-19, you can visit the Ohio Department of Health’s website:

or call the Ohio Department of Health call center at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH

Please be assured we will keep you informed of any further developments.
