Multi Vehicle Crash on I-75 Near Beaverdam Kills Canadian Truck Driver

A semi truck driver was killed in a multiple vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening on I-75 just north of Beaverdam in Allen County.
According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 24 year old Bhardwaj Vidit, of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, failed to slow down for traffic that was stopped in a construction zone and his semi crashed into the rear of a semi being operated by 34 year old Wisam Dawood, of Belleriver, Ontario, Canada.
That semi was pushed into two other vehicles that were stopped.
Vidit was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dawood was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
The drivers and passengers in the two other vehicles were treated at the scene.
The right lane was closed for several hours.
