Former meteorologist Mike Davis was sentenced to a minimum of four years in prison today on child pornography charges.

Davis spoke in court ahead of the judge’s sentence, saying that he was remorseful, and he apologized to his family, co-workers and viewers of 10TV, where he worked for over 30 years.

He also said he now realizes that he  actually victimized children by looking at the images.

Davis promised that he “will never look at these things again” in his statement.

The judge took issue that Davis was not remorseful until now, and that he referred to images as “its” and “things”. The judge said Davis groomed friends and co-workers and that the “facts of the case are horrendous”.

The judge also said Mike Davis violated bond by accessing the internet on his phone and not telling the court that he was staying at a hotel and not at his house.

The Judge also says Davis has consumed alcohol and developed an overeating habit which illustrates he has compulsive behavior.

Davis pleaded guilty in January to four counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor. He faced between 25 to 29.5 years in prison on the charges.
