McBride Furniture Village Going Out of Business

Written by on June 24, 2020

A family owned store in Forest is closing after 73 years in business.

McBride Furniture Village moved to Forest in 1951, according to the Lima News.

Clifford “Mick” McBride started the business with his wife Marcile four years earlier in his Dunkirk home.

The 91 year old McBride told the Findlay Courier that he paid $17,000 for the building that sits on Mad River Street.

The low overhead allowed them to be very competitive and eventually grow to occupy 7 buildings on the property.

A closing sale is scheduled to start June 30.

The store will be open 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday.
