Maxine L. Wren

Maxine L. Wren, 92 of Kenton passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.  She was born in Hardin County on January 26, 1927 to the late Edward and Anna (Amweg) Laubis.  Maxine married Charles Wren on January 31, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2014. Mrs. Wren is survived by her daughter, Judy (Paul) Iwerks of MN, son, Tom Wren of Kenton, nephew, Ray Robinson of Kenton, daughter-in-law, Tauna Wren of Reynoldsburg, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Wren.  Maxine was a 1944 graduate of Kenton High School. She was a former member of the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church where she was involved in the United Methodist Women’s group.  She was also a former member of the Jolly Circle Club and presently attended First Reformed Church in Kenton.  Maxine volunteered for Gods Life Line in Mt. Victory for many years.

Visitation for Maxine will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where a funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday with Pastor Steve Walter officiating.  A private burial will take place at a later date.
