Mary Ellen Hanson age 89, of Palmetta, FL, died Sunday July 12, 2020 at her residence.
Mary was born on September 17, 1930 in Wyandot County to the late Erin and Fairy (Murray) Carey. She married Roger W. Hanson on January 5, 1957 and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2011. She is survived by her son James Hanson of Florida, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, sister Linda (Robert) Trausch of Upper Sandusky and seven nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her son Ronald Hanson, 1 grandchild, 1 great grandchild, brothers Gary Carey and Donald Carey, sisters JoAnn Carey and Freida Benner, and 2 nieces and nephews.
Mary was a homemaker and had previously worked at Brinkmans Farm Market in Findlay. She also enjoyed bowling most of her life.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday July 17, 2020 at Wharton Richland Union Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Livingston officiating. Memorial contributions can me made to a charity of the donor’s choice in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S. Patterson St. Forest, OH 45843.
