Man Steals Car in Findlay with Infant Child Inside; OSP Pursues Vehicle into Toledo

A pursuit of a vehicle with an infant child inside was stolen from the city of Findlay the past Saturday ended in Toledo.

 

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers alerted the Toledo Post of the Ohio State Patrol to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

 

Troopers spotted the vehicle on I-75 near Bowling Green and a pursuit was initiated.

 

Two of the tires on the vehicle were deflated, but the driver continued into Toledo where he rammed two State Patrol cruisers before stopping the car and running on foot.

 

Joshua Gilliland, of Arcadia, was treated at a local hospital and then transported to the Lucas County Jail on charges of grand theft, child endangering, fleeing and eluding and 2 counts each of assault on a police officer and kidnapping.

 

The infant child was not injured and was returned to her parents.
