Man Arrested for Shooting Guns Inside Wapakoneta Apartment

A man was arrested in Wapakoneta after police investigated a report about someone shooting guns from an apartment Monday.
According to a release from Wapakoneta Police Chief Calvin Schneider, the man was discharging guns upon arrival of officers.
The Emergency Response Teams from the police department and Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene.
The man came out of the complex and was arrested without incident.
Due to comments made about possible secondary devices, the Allen County Bomb Squad was called and the suspect’s apartment was searched but nothing was found.
The suspect is being detained pending formal charges.
No other information has been released as the incident remains under investigation.
