Man Arrested After FPD K-9 Unit Dispatched to Motel in Findlay

A man was arrested in Findlay Monday night following a domestic violence incident.

 

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Exxon at 800 West Trenton Avenue.

 

The subjects involved were already gone when officers arrived, but their vehicle was located at the Rodeway Inn Motel on Broad Avenue.

 

A female inside a room, who had visible injuries, told officers that the suspect  ran into the bathroom when police arrived.

 

He was able to climb into the attic through an access panel in the bathroom and refused to come out.

 

K-9 Deke was deployed and the suspect surrendered after he was bit in the left bicep area.

 

39 year old Steven C. Maciejewski was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment of the dog bite.

 

He was then incarcerated at the Hancock County Justice center on charges of domestic violence and obstructing official business.
