Logan County Sheriff’s Office K9 Dies

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office announced the passing of  their K9 Cane today. 

 

Cane sustained a minor injury and was placed out of service this past Tuesday, November 12 by Northside Animal Clinic. 

 

Cane’s unknown condition worsened and he was transported to MedVet in Columbus where he was being held and treated, and he went into cardiac arrest and lost his life at 5:30 this (Thursday) morning in the arms of his handler Deputy Cole Piatt.

 

K9 Cane started his career with Deputy  Piatt this past August 8 and became state certified for duty on September 25.
