On Monday, the Third District Court of Appeals issued a decision upholding the conviction of Timothy McVety age 31, of Lewistown for Insurance Fraud

According to WPKO, McVety was convicted of one count of insurance fraud after a trial in Logan County Common Pleas Court.

After he appealed, saying the State failed to prove venue, The Court of Appeals found sufficient evidence to uphold the venue and upheld the guilty verdict of the trial court.

McVety was sentenced to 30 days in the Logan County Jail and placed on community control.

wMcVety’s Logan County Based tow truck service billed rendered a bill in Miami County to an insurance company from that business.
