Late Touchdown Pushes Cats Past Titans

Jacob Eversole caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Blaine Huston with 9.8 seconds left to give the Kenton Wildcats a 14-9 victory over the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans Friday at Robinson Field.

The score capped a 7-play, 90-yard drive in the  final minute and helped the Cats move to 7-2 overall and 7-1 in the Western Buckeye League. Ottawa-Glandorf is also 7-2 overall and 7-1 in the league. With one week to go in the regular season, the Wildcats and the Titans are tied with Wapakoneta for first in the WBL.

Huston threw for 365 yards and one touchdown for Kenton, while Noah Eikenbary rushed for a 1-yard TD to account for the other Wildcat score.

Eversole finished with 6 receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown while Jayden Cornell added 9 catches for 131 yards.

Eversole and Malik Jett were named the Ace Hardware Players of the Game.
