Lake of Lights Reopens Following Lightning Strike

Written by on December 3, 2019

The Lake of Lights display reopened Monday night following a lightning strike early Sunday.

A large portion of LED lights were damaged by the storm, which forced the display to be closed Sunday night.

Crews worked during the day Monday to make repairs so they could be open last night.

There are still some of the lights down because of the lightning strike, and work is continuing to replace the affected areas with new lights this season.

Financial assistance to replace the lights and cords can be sent to Lake of Lights, 63 Broadway Street in Kenton.

Lake of Lights is open nightly from 6-9 at France Lake in Kenton.
