Lady Wildcats Pull Away In Second Half, Beat Riverdale 53-32

The Kenton Lady Wildcats used a big third quarter to break open a close game and defeat Riverdale 53-32 in girls basketball play Saturday afternoon.

Kenton never trailed in the contest but had a hard time getting separation from the Falcons over the first two quarters and led 24-18 at the half.

The Lady Wildcats then scored 20 of the first 24 points to start the third quarter and pulled away for the win.

Riverdale (4-4) got eight points apiece from Lainie Howell and Reagan McKinniss.

Kenton (3-2) was led by Lindsey Smith, who had 16 points and 14 rebounds. Makenzie Bays scored 14 points and Sidney Plott had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Wildcats.

Smith was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.
