A Kenton man was arrested on a warrant over the weekend.

 

According to the Kenton Police Department report, an officer on patrol observed the man with an active warrant in the 100 block of Brumm Street.

 

37 year old Jesse Murphy was arrested on the warrant, and during a search, a hypodermic syringe was located.

 

Murphy was issued a summons for possessing drug abuse instruments.

The theft of money was reported to Kenton police over the weekend.

 

According to the report, officers were requested to a residence in the 100 block of Autumn Haze Lane in reference to the theft.

 

A named suspect is accused of stealing $2000 in cash from the victim.

 

A 57 year old Kenton man was listed as the suspect, but he has not yet been charged as the incident is under investigation.

A Kenton woman was arrested on a warrant Sunday afternoon.

 

According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of North Detroit Street in reference to people possibly being inside an abandoned structure.

 

Two individuals were located inside.

 

One of them was identified as 32 year old Alisha Wynegar, who was arrested on the warrant.

 

She was eventually released to the custody of a deputy from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

A driver and a passenger are facing charges following a traffic stop in Kenton Sunday evening.

 

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, an officer observed an out of control vehicle slide through the intersection of West Columbus Street and North Leighton Street without stopping for a stop sign.

 

A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, 32 year old Bradley Lafferty, of Kenton, was cited for no driver’s license, expired registration and a reasonable control violation.

 

A passenger, 23 year old Daisy Schmelzer, was cited for wrongful entrustment.
