A Kenton man was arrested after an incident reported to Kenton Police late Wednesday afternoon.

 

According to the report, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Smith Avenue for a reported active assault.

 

When officers arrived, a male fled into the house and out onto the roof.

 

The investigation revealed that the assault was a domestic incident.

 

The male, identified as Jeffery Kirkendall, eventually came down from the roof after nearly an hour of officers persuading him.

 

Kirkendall was taken into custody on domestic violence and obstructing official business charges.

 

The 17 year old male victim suffered an apparent minor injury.

A man was taken into custody Wednesday night after Kenton Police were called to Springbrook Apartments in reference to several suspicious people in the parking lot.

 

When officers arrived, a male was observed walking away from the area headed across the baseball field toward the high school.

 

Another officer approached from the opposite direction and the male was stopped near the baseball field.

 

The officer recognized Gerald Baughman, age 29, who had an active warrant for his arrest.

 

Baughman was taken into custody and transported to the Multi County Jail in Marion.
