KPD News from Monday Included Two Arrests for OVI

A Kenton Police Officer on patrol located a male passed out behind the wheel of a motor vehicle at just before midnight this past Sunday night.

 

That was in the 100 block of North Detroit Street.

 

That led to the arrest of 28 year old Corey J. Brown, of Kenton.

 

According to the Police Department’s Daily Log Sheet from Monday, Brown was cited for operating a vehicle intoxicated and obstructing traffic.

 

He was also issued a summons for open container in a motor vehicle.

A Forest man was arrested following an injury crash at 815 Morningside Drive Monday morning.

 

No details on the crash have been released, but according to a report from the Kenton Police Department, 42 year old Scott Byrne was arrested for operating a vehicle intoxicated.

 

He was also cited for a reasonable control violation.

A Kenton man was arrested following an incident reported to Kenton Police late Monday morning.

 

According to the report, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West North Street in reference to a man with a gun.

 

61 year old Walter Steele was arrested on misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Officers seized a bb gun, a crack pipe and a meth pipe.

 

An investigation will continue.
