Kenton Wins WBL Opener

The Kenton Wildcats opened Western Buckeye League play Friday by defeating Bath 63-61.

Jayden Cornell had 22 points and five rebounds for Kenton, which is 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the WBL. Reed Cook added 17 points and five rebounds for the Wildcats, who effectively led from wire to wire.

Jonah Wauben paced Bath with 13 points while Carter Parlapiano and Ian Armentrout scored 11 points each for the Allen County Wildcats, who slip to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the league.

Cornell was named the Ace Hardware Player if the Game.
