The Kenton City School Board of Education Held Two Meetings Tuesday Night

In the first meeting new board members Brandon Ledley and Justin Dick were sworn in. The meeting was then swiftly moved to a vote where Doug Carmean was elected President and Sheena Striker was elected Vice President.  Members of the Board of Education are as pictured left to right Samuel Albert, Justin Dick, Sheena Striker, Doug Carmean and Brandon Ledley.

Superintendent Jennifer Penczarski was also appointed the title of Title 6 Coordinator and Title 9 Compliance Officer.

To conclude the first meeting it was decided that the board would hold their regular meetings on the third Monday of every month in the Administration building at 7 P.M.

During the second meeting Superintendent Penczarski reminded the board that the school must have water pressure in order to hold classes. So it is a possibility that on Thursday while the water may be on in time for classes they cannot guarantee water pressure so if this occurs the school would have to delay until the water pressure is restored.

Penczarski added that there is early release scheduled in the near future and that if the school delays on a scheduled early release day then the procedure is that the early release is then cancelled and will be rescheduled.

The meeting went on to approve an out of state trip for the Kenton FFA to Kentucky in February. As well as continuing membership in the Ohio Highschool Athletic Association for the 2020-2021 School Year.

The next meeting of the Kenton City School Board of Education will be held on Monday February 17th at 7 P.M.
