Kenton Mayor Reflects on Unexpected Challenges During First Few Months in Office

Written by on May 1, 2020

It’s been an unusual start in office for new Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb.

Little did she know that early on in her first term, a coronavirus pandemic would essentially shut things down around the world.

Webb continues to encourage residents on social media platforms.

She has stressed that despite the shutdown, essential city services are still being provided.

Webb also notes that she is still working to fulfill some promises she made on the campaign trail.

One of those is changing the trash collection program in Kenton.

City Council voted this week to give her the authority to enter into a contract with Republic, and by later this year, the pay as you throw trash bags will be a thing of the past in Kenton.

For more from the mayor, tune in Public Eye, Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
