A Kenton man was cited for failure to yield following a fiery crash that occurred in Logan County late Monday afternoon at the intersection of State Routes 292 and 47.

WPKO Radio reported that 24 year old Casey Drosdak drove from 292 onto 47, and his vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle being operated by 36 year old Dimitria Mathys, of West Mansfield.

After the collision, the Mathys vehicle burst into flames with two passengers, 8 and 9 year old Audium and Destiny Mathys trapped inside.

Drosdak ran to get the girls out of the burning vehicle, which was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

Both girls were taken by helicopter to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Drosdak was transported to Memorial Hospital in Marysville, and Mathys was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine for treatment of minor injuries.
