Kenton High School Grapplers Down Elida

The Kenton High School wrestling team opened their season with a big 45-24 win over the Elida Bulldogs.

Senior wrestlers came up big with Mason Rhoades earning the first pin fall for the season beating A. McCoy with a pin at 1:02 left in the first period.

Senior Ethan Manns won by regular decision over D. Miller with a score of 5-0 in the 182 class. Rounding out the seniors Noah Eikenbary wrestling in 285 weight group wins with a 11-4 major decision over B. Lyons.

Junior wrestlers Carter Bays (160lbs) and Brandon Bowling (220 lbs) both tally wins for the wildcats. Bays pins C.King 17 second into the first period while Bowling wins with a 10-7 regular decision over D. Jones. Also winning for the Wildcats was Aaron Modd (113lbs) with a pin fall over Z. Nelms, Keith Harbor (126 lbs) racks up a pin at 1:12 over F. Fredrick. The cats also earned points with Gavin Manns (170lbs) winning by forfeit.

The Wildcat wrestlers will be on the road Saturday December 7th attending the Rigdedale Wrestling Invite in Morral, Oh. Wrestling starts at 10 am so come out and support our Wildcat Wrestlers.
