Kenton City School Board of Education Held a Meeting Thursday Night

 

During Board Committee reports the Facilities Committee mentioned that their next meeting would be on Friday and they will be discussing the athletic building and various summer projects. 

 

Additionally, the Board mentioned that the Kenton FFA Chapter had been very busy lately. FFA member Garrett Thomas had been named Fair King and Meredith Bischoff was named Fair Queen runner up. Meanwhile, the Kenton FFA recently attended Farm Science review and is also practicing soil judging. 

 

In new business, the board approved the renewal of an agreement with the Kenton Police Department for the School Resource Officer. 

 

The board also approved an agreement with the Wood County Juvenile Detention center for the school year of 2019-2020 that indicates $75.00 per student per day assigned to JDC or JRC. Per seat at ALC is $11,505 for a full year and $5,733 for one semester. 

 

Finally, the board approved an agreement with Midwest Regional ESC for innovation and design coach services with the estimated total to be $30,489.38. 

 

The next meeting of the Kenton City School Board of Education is scheduled for October 21st at 7 P.M.
