Kenton City Officials Attend Weekend Meeting to Discuss COVID-19

City of Kenton administration members attended an Emergency Operation Center gathering this past Saturday morning that was organized by the Hardin County Health Department regarding the COVID-19 virus.
The Mayor, Safety Service Director, Public Information Officer, Police and Fire Chief attended in an effort to stay up to date with local and state officials regarding the pandemic.
The Health Department talked about the need to take social distancing seriously and to follow common sense measures such as washing your hands with soap and water and using hand sanitizer.
The Health Department also said it’s important to ensure that information is coming from a credible source, and they will put out the information as they have it, and in a timely manner.
First responders are announcing that in an effort to protect their personnel, they ask that if you call 9-1-1 for any reason, let the dispatcher know if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms.
Reporting any of these symptoms will not prevent you from receiving emergency medical or law enforcement services, but it will allow the first responders to better prepare for your call, and provide you with the best possible care.
Monday morning, elected officials will discuss the coronavirus emergency with the Board of Hardin County Commissioners during a special meeting in the Commissioner’s Office.
