Written by on December 23, 2019

Kenton City Council met Monday evening on December 23rd, their final meeting of 2019.

The meeting began with Judge Greg Grimslid giving the oath of office current members of council whose terms have not concluded, as well as the swearing in of Mayor Lynn Jones-Webb.

For New business, Council had two ordinances on the agenda to discuss. The first of which discussed additional appropriations for 2019 funds, with the second discussing additional appropriations for 2020 funds. Both Ordinances did pass unanimously.

For additional comments, Mayor Jones-Webb said that she was “humbled to be in [her] position” as 2020 starts. All members of council also took time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy, safe and healthy New Year.

Council then elected to go into closed session to discuss personnel changes.
