Kenton City Council Held a Meeting Tuesday Night

During last night’s meeting the Kenton City Council suspended the three reading rule and passed an ordinance allowing the Safety Service Director to advertise for bids for supplies and materials for the year of 2020.

 

Next, the council heard an ordinance that allows for transferring of funds throughout the budget. As noted by the Council, the most important item was a transfer of $13,000 from fire hospital to fire new equipment so that a new medical unit could be purchased and outfitted for the fire department. Other transactions were said to be cleaning up of accounts to finish out the year. 

 

Council at Large Patti Risner encouraged the public to continue attending Council meetings so that the community my stay informed on events in the town. 

 

There will be a meeting of the Grove Cemetery Committee, Township Trustees and Council members on November 25th at 6:30 P.M.

 

The next meeting of the Kenton City Council will be held on Monday November 25th at 7 P.M.
