Instrumental Concert at Bluffton University to Feature Songs of the Season

BLUFFTON, Ohio—Bluffton University will host an instrumental concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in Yoder Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.

Dr. Roy Couch, associate professor of music, will conduct the program with a piece by Barry Milner called “An October Sky” and “Gales of November” by James Hosay. The varied choices will reference the fall season.

Additional selections include Halloween pieces called “Phantasmagoria” by Jeremy Bell and “Ghost Apparatus” by David Biedenbender and a sacred piece for wind band by David Holsinger and James Curros.

This concert kicks off the music department’s fall concert schedule.

A free-will offering will be taken for music scholarships during intermission.
