HN FFA Team Releases Details on Summer Trip

Written by on August 24, 2019

On July 16th and 17th, the Hardin Northern FFA Officer Team embarked on their officer retreat to Maumee Bay State Park.

First on the agenda were professional pictures taken by Jennie Good. The officers appreciate her time and talent in taking these photos.

Next up was a round table discussion at Pearson Park, in Toledo, where the team discussed multiple ideas, but the main idea was to increase chapter involvement.

New for this year, Freshmen and Sophomore members are required to participate in at least 1 CDE event while Juniors and Seniors are highly encouraged.

The goal for the officers themselves is to work better as a team and help one another to get tasks accomplished. Go Kart racing, Putt-Putt and a trip for ice cream rounded out day 1.

Day 2 the officers focused on learning their officer duties and responsibilities along with the opening/closing ceremonies for FFA meetings.

All in all the officer team had a great trip learning more about each other and what makes the FFA chapter successful.

The attending officers included President Lance Good, Vice President Renee Newton, Treasurer Luke Wilson, Secretary Mara Ruhlen, Reporter Brenna Flowers, Sentinel Aliya Obenour, and Student Advisor Maddie Grappy.

In the end, all that attended had a fun and worthwhile experience.

The 2019-2020 officer team is excited for the new year.
