The United Way of Hardin County, The West Ohio Foodbank, and The Ohio National Guard will be hosting another community food distribution on May 7th at the Hardin County Fairground.

This non-contact food distribution will be Thursday May 7th from 1pm – 3pm, or until food runs out. This will be the largest food distribution for Hardin County with the goal to feed 1000 families. Two hundred thousand (200,000) pounds of food will be distributed during this event eclipsing the previous ninety thousand (90,000) pounds of food serving 700 families.

A valid ID showing proof of being a Hardin County resident will be required. The trunk must be cleaned out and all occupants must remain in vehicle. There will be a limit of 2 families per vehicle served. Must be 18 years or older and be at or below 230% the federal poverty guidelines. Details of poverty guidelines can be found at http://www.wofb.org on the COVID-19 page.

Those attending must enter at the east gate parking lot entrance and follow the direction of traffic control. No admittance will be permitted prior to 11am. There will be plenty of room for traffic flow and parking. Vehicles will not be permitted to block traffic on fairground road, State Route 68, or State Route 31.

Approximately 40 members of the Ohio National Guard G-Co 237 SPT BN will again assist with boxing the food and placing in the trunk of vehicles.

The Hardin County Sheriff, Hardin County Mounted Posse, and the Kenton Police Department will assist with traffic control when entering, while on, and exiting the fairgrounds.
