Five Homes Evacuated Following Gas Leak on Fairground Road

A major gas leak occurred on Fairground Road or Letson Avenue in Kenton Thursday morning.
According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to a residence at 160 Letson where a gas main was damaged and leaking gas.
The road was closed to traffic and pedestrians starting around 7:45am.
Five homes in the immediate area were evacuated for safety concerns.
A crew from Dominion East Ohio Gas was dispatched to repair the damage.
The road was reopened at around 11 Thursday morning.
