Findlay Man Arrested Following Armed Robbery in Findlay

A suspect was arrested following an investigation into an aggravated burglary to start the weekend in Findlay.

 

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Hurd Avenue where they discovered that an ex-boyfriend, identified as 42 year old Jay Welly, broke into a residence and assaulted a female inside the apartment.

 

The victim was choked and punched. She had injuries to her head and neck but refused medical treatment.

 

Welly was located later at this residence in Findlay and was arrested.

 

He was transported to the Hancock County Justice Center on a charge of aggravated burglary.
