He married Kathleen S. Thiel on August 2, 1970 and she survives. Mr. McNutt is survived by daughters, Dawn M. (Darron) Moe and Angela S. Fadley, both of Forest. Surviving are a brother Byron (Brenda) McNutt, Wisconsin, sisters Nadine (Lynn) Boehm, Dunkirk and Rita McNutt, Upper Sandusky. He is also survived by five granddaughters Brittany (Josh) Hutchison, Lima; Courtney Moe, Akron; Ashlyn Fadley, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Shelbey Fadley, Forest; and Taylar Fadley, Forest. Also surviving is one great-grandson, Gavin Hutchison, Lima.
Darl was a lifelong farmer in Wyandot County. He retired from A.O. Smith after more than 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Memorials can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or the Forest Christian Preschool instead of flowers.
A private graveside service will be held at Jackson Center Cemetery, Forest, at a later date.
Clark Shields Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. McNutt.
