Cross Criticizes Governor’s Enforcement Team Plan

Written by on May 20, 2020

State Representative Jon Cross criticized Governor Mike DeWine’s plan to form an enforcement team to police bars and restaurants to ensure they are operating safely.

In a Facebook posting, Cross said “tone & tenor matters, compassion, clarity and help for businesses struggling to reopen matters and prioritizing our state dollars matter.”

He questioned why the Governor would cut $775 million, mostly from  education, but prioritize dollars for restaurant/bar police.

Rep. Cross stated we “should help businesses successfully reopen, celebrate the reopening of Ohio and NOT marshal, surge and aggressively order.”

He reminded the Governor that he is no longer the Ohio Attorney General.
