Crash South of Ada Injures Alger Man

One person was injured in a  two vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of State Routes 309 and 235 south of Ada.

Complete details of the crash have not been released, but according to information from the sheriff’s office, one car was being driven by Richard Smith, of Alger and the other driver was identified as Lennie Shafer, of Findlay.

Smith was transported to the hospital by Alger EMS with suspected minor injuries.

Shafer was evaluated at the scene but was not transported to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation and citations are pending.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Ada Fire Department, Ada-Liberty EMS, Alger Fire Department, USV-Alger EMS and Minnich’s Towing.
