LAKEVIEW, Ohio – After the retirement of its long-time Indian Lake State Park manager, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is seeking input from the community on hiring a new park manager.

The public is invited to attend a public forum on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the multi-purpose building located near the campground commissary at 13156 State Route 235 North in Lakeview.

Senior staff from ODNR’s Division of Parks and Watercraft will be on hand to discuss the position as well as solicit feedback related to hiring a successful candidate who can meet the needs and expectations of park customers and the local community.

Indian Lake State Park is one of the state’s top 10 busiest state parks. Its 5,100-acre lake offers a variety of water-related recreational opportunities including boating, jet skiing and fishing.

The park’s large campground, swimming beach, dog park and picnic areas are popular year-round. Additionally, the park manages hundreds of boat docks.
